Below, please read information about Nightingale's 6th Grade Transition Program:

 Parent Information:

Nightingale’s transition program is an investment in our incoming students’ future.  Giving incoming students a strong start between primary and secondary school will provide common experiences as a context to assure their continued success throughout secondary school.

The NMS Goal:

Provide NMS incoming students a healthy start to middle school.  Our goal is to equip students with the skill set to successfully navigate middle school. We aim to prepare students for academic rigor while acclimating them to the Nightingale campus and procedures.  As such, fears commonly associated with beginning a new school will be assuaged and students will ultimately be provided a supportive transition to middle school.

Rationale:

Students who do well in middle school will typically achieve in high school and beyond.  Therefore, it is the goal of Nightingale to provide incoming students strategies to support their successful transition to middle school.
